Duplicate Blogs and I lost some posts

  1. Hello, if a WordPress Happiness person could help, that would be great. I have a private blog that is now duplicated, and I lost my work. I did two posts, added categories, etc.

If I delete one, will they both be deleted? And is there any way to get the posts back? The blog isn't quite ready for prime time, so it's still hidden. I assume WordPress peeps can still look into the account, right?

    Please and thank you.

  2. I'm bumping this up again. My Blogs shows two copies of the same blog. I just made a test post and it shows up in both. If it's too much to ask to get an earlier version of the blog, with other posts, that's fine. My concerned is that if I delete one, I'll delete both. Can someone look into this and see what's up? Thanks.

  3. Hello. I now have the original posts back and the earlier test post I made is gone. And, I've added more new posts. However, it's still showing two blogs of the same title in My Blogs. (These are private, so only WP will be able to verify.) If I delete one, will it delete both?

  4. Hello, again.

So, I still have one blog listed twice in My Blogs. And, when I came in today, it has reverted to a previous version, and it's not showing a TON of revisions. This is a private blog, so I'd really appreciate if Staff could look into this. I'm also curious as to why it has reverted twice now.

The blog I could use help with is:

  5. Sorry for the delay!

The duplicate has been sufficiently destroyed.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

  6. Thanks. I now have just the one blog (of that title!).

I am curious though, do you know why it kept reverting to an earlier version? Did you fix that too? Is it related to the duplication or possibly the theme? I'm a little gun shy now about losing the work. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I think it reverted four times total, to an earlier version.

  7. You're welcome!

The blog's URL was completely duplicated in our system, and depending on which datacenter you were routed to at the time, you'd see either one blog or the other, which is what gave the illusion of the blog reverting to a previous state.
