Duplicate comment warning for unique comments?

Is anyone else getting this error? When I try to make a comment on any post on my blog, whether I’m logged in or not, I get the “Duplicate comment; it looks like you’ve already said that” error and nothing ever posts. Am I the only one? And why do these things always happen just before the weekend?

Interesting that you mention this. I just tried to leave a comment at willrhodes’ blog and got that message. I didn’t try a second time. (glass half-empty, figured it would be futile.)

I get an increasing number of “drop us a note” pages – WP is slow to open new pages…

I found a way to post comments faster, when you hit submit, don’t wait for the page to load and go to https://en.forums.wordpress.com/ and click the topic.

Sorry for the duplicate post, but when I clicked on Send Post I got the server maintenance screen. Yes, it’s Friday!
