Editing images already uploaded, re-sizing and re-placing them in article

I mistakenly deleted an article some time ago which I re-loaded asap and today I tried to replace the images as well. I managed to upload what I wanted but I did not place them correctly, nor size them correctly. Now I cannot find a way to re-size and replace them where I want them. Ideally I would like some of them to be in mid-paragraph with the text wrapped around them, others centred. I know how to do this starting afresh but I cannot see how to edit images.

The blog I need help with is travelsineuropeandasia.wordpress.com.

Are the images ones you uploaded into your Media Library? If they are then edit the post, click the images one at a time and click the X to delete them. Then use the Add Media icon to select the images gain, select the correct size, align them and insert them into the post. When you have done them all click “update”.

Only two have been uploaded to my Media library, the others I took direct from my Pictures Folder on my hard disk. I don’t seem able to edit these by clicking on them while in edit mode. I’ve tried left click and right click.

Your hard drive is not a web server. Images must be on a web server on to be displayed. Any images on your hard drive cannot be displayed until you upload them all into your Media Library so they are on WordPress.com servers.

Thanks, timethief. I shall have to go into edit mode tomorrow, delete and then reload. Your help is invaluable, from sorting out my posts from my pages to this.

    Regards,

I’m trusting this will all work out in the end and you will have exactly what you want. Best regards.
