  1. How to edit my sidebar?
I have been having difficulty editing m sidebar. I use it to display the list of my lectures at the Carleton University, so that people can click there to get to the page they want to see. 3. I've accidentally changed the appearance of my front page and I want to have it back the way it was.

By default the front page of your blog is the page that all published posts, not pages display on. You chnage that here > Settings > Reading to your "About" page.
    Go back there and select:
Front page displays __ Your latest posts

  4. Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I've managed to fix my front page, but I still don't know how to update my sidebar. Should I simply replace the old info with the http of the new one in the widget's text section? I didn't, because it doesn't seem enough: the old one is a lot longer.

    Thanks, Barbara

  5. A sidebar is merely an area where widgets are displayed. Hence you can click the widgets to open the widgets, edit the content in them and save the edits but you cannot not edit the sidebar per se. Do you understand that?
See here for widgets and sidebars

  7. Hi,

Thanks for your reply. The reaon I'm wondering where can I find the href of my new pages is that in my text widget each old page starts with href and I want to replace them with the new ones. Do you know where can I find them?
    Thanks, Barbara

  8. Clearly you do not understand me so I'll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  9. Go to Pages > All Pages and click the title of each page to edit it: you'll see its URL right below the title field (where it says "Permalink"). You can copy the URL from there, or you can click View Page and copy the URL from the address bar of your browser.

  10. Thanks a lot! I'm looking forward to getting Staff assistance.

  11. @kiscica - justpi gave you the answer - why not take his advice?

  12. Hi auxclass,
I've tried to follow the advice, but when I tried to paste them in the Widget/Text, it didn't get there. Where should I copy it to replace the old links with them in the Sidebar?
