Email and Mapping a Domain

I am attempting to move my website (conqueringlionpictures.com) that is hosted on GoDaddy to WordPress. I have read the great how to from the wrodpress support site but still a few questions.

    1) In mapping the domain onto wordpress, which website will come up when I enter the domain – the original GoDaddy or the new WordPress? Do I have to delete the GoDaddy?

    2) If I have emails attached to the GoDaddy Website, how do I make sure they stay active? Do they have to go down for a period of time? If so, whats the best way to manage that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is conqueringlionpictures.wordpress.com.

    1) once the mapping changes have taken effect the blog here will come up for visitors and show conqueringlionpictures.com will be the address in the browser

    2) are you keeping your email hosting on Godaddy? If so then use these instructions: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/add-godaddy-email/

if not then you have several other options: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/

yes both your site access and email will be erratic while changes migrate to the far corners of the internet – changes start after a few hours but can take 24 to 72 hours to take full effect and due to caching issues you will be the last one to see the changes
