The blog I need help with is

  2. Checking the box means you DO get emails. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and look at what it says here.

Each email has a link to click to change your notifications. Click that and UNCHECK the things you don't want.

  3. to whom it may concern:

    S T O P

  4. You're in a peer-to-peer support forum. Neither me nor raincoaster are staff members. We cannot stop the emails. Only your or staff can. So I tagged this thread "modlook" so that staff can respond.

However, it would be faster if you folowed raincoaster's instructions and removed yourself from the emails.

  5. I've just checked and you are not subscribed to any blogs.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

  6. Actually, I am getting spam "support" emails from WordPress, too...common best practice says to add an "unsubscribe" link to emails such at these. However, I can't see anywhere to do it.

If anyone help, then great, otherwise I am inclined to simply move my blogs somewhere else.

  7. I see. If you are trying to unsubscribe from email sent to you from, go here and click on “Block all subscription emails from”:!/read/subsettings/

  8. Thanks for the response.

However, “Block all subscription emails from” is not one of the options that I am offered.

The nearest would be the one about blocking updates from blogs I am following....which is not quite the same thing.

  9. You can also use your email settings to block just emails sent from itself.

  10. How? Where?

The only options I am offered from the link kardotim provided are shown on the image I linked to.

I agree that there must be, but I can't find it. :(

  11. It depends on your email program. Just google it, like this:

"block emails from sender in gmail"

    or outlook or whatever.

  12. Oh I see. You mean I can't ask WordPress to stop? I have to block it in my email client?

I can't believe WP, with the reputation it has, would deliberately want to send emails to a user who doesn't want them. Perhaps I am wrong, but I hope not.

Thanks for the suggestion though. However, if WP is that bad, I will delete the big deal, apart from a minor preference of wanting to use WP. There is no shortage of choice.

  13. Well, surprise! You can't delete an account here.

  14. Well, that is not cool, is it? Something to do with the NSA, is it?

    Liking WP less and less.

  15. I have no idea why they do that. They might as well to my mind make it like blog URLs and usernames, so that you can delete them but never get them back. But, again, I'm not staff.

  16. @pollik the option you selected should be fine. If for whatever reason you still receive e-mails you can unsubscribe from them using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of those e-mails.

Also note that accounts are permanent, but you can easily delete your blog. You can read more about this here:
