Embed code in widget

I’m having an issue I’ve never encountered before. I’m trying to place the below embed code in a text/html widget on our side bar. I copy the html into the widget box and hit save, and the text disappears and I have a blank box. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong – I’ve tried it several times.

According to their website, it should work fine. http://www.rewardvolunteers.coop/organizations/embed-the-widget.php

    What am I missing?

    <iframe id=”widget” src=”http://api.rewardvolunteers.coop/widget/volunteer?iframe_redirect_uri=https://dallascompanionanimalproject.wordpress.com” width=”300px” height=”250px” scrolling=”no”></iframe>

The blog I need help with is dallascompanionanimalproject.wordpress.com.

I am having the same exact problem trying to embed code from jotform into a page on my website.

I have used this same process before on other WordPress sites and have not had a problem. What’s up?

The code is as follows: <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://form.jotform.us/jsform/22516790850153″></script>

The blog I am working on is:http://massnfca.wordpress.com/membership/

iFrame and script are forbidden code and will be stripped out.

WordPress.com is a type of shared environment, where all users are running off of the same software. This is great because it allows us at Automattic to update millions of blogs at the same time with a single click. It means we can fix bugs or offer new features very quickly, which is a win for you as users. Having all users running on the same software can also be dangerous. If we aren’t careful, one user has the potential to take down the entire site. So this is why we need to limit some of the things you post on your blog.

Thank you. I see now that the sites on which I had used this in the past were WordPress.org sites.

You are welcome. Lots of folks confuse the different flavors of WordPress…

Thanks. The rewardvolunteers.coop site where the widget it says it works on WordPress, but they don’t specify it only works on self-hosted. Thank you for clarifying.

Please take a moment to read the posts above, especially this one which clearly states that script is forbidden code:
