problem is simple. I don´t seem to get embed any Picasa albums to my blog. But I really would like to. Picasa gives me embed code like that:

    <embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="288" height="192" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2Fkaarel.kutti%2Falbumid%2F5432884620095193713%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26hl%3Den_US" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>

Why isn´t it working? Does wordpress support picasa´s embed code? If not, how can I embed photoalbums to my blog?

The blog I need help with is tagurpidimaal.wordpress.com.

Sorry the embed code has flash in the code which is a NO go here @WP.com because of security issues please familiarize yourself with this FAQ about allowed embed codes and not allowed embed codes. http://support.wordpress.com/code/

You can embed individual photos using the regular Post from Image Link function, but you can’t embed external galleries of any form. It’s been suggested that you make them a slideshow on one of the approved slideshow formats, or upload the images to WordPress and have a WP gallery.

if you go to my about page on my blog you will see I have indeed embedded my picasa album as a slideshow.

    Here’s how to do it.

Using firefox use the vodpod add on. It puts a button on your browser. You then go to the picasa album you wish to embed and select share, and selected embedded slideshow. A window pops up allowing you to edit the slideshow by size or set it to play automatically. Press the vodpod button. A vodpod window pops up, that should have a preview of the picasa album you wish to embed.

If you see the video, click yes this is the video. Click next, give it a title, tags etc. The click next, post to blog, You can full out your blog info and it goes into a post draft on wordpress. I recommend simply pressing the wordpress shortcode link and copying the short code yourself to the blog or page on wordpress.

Hope this helps. If you don’t have firefox, sign up for a vodpod account and so most of the same steps from there.

Hi I have the same problem: how can I embed photos from my Picasa album easily onto my blog? I know I can manually select images that are already on a website and have a URL, or images that are somwhere on my computer. But I use Picasa to manage and edit/crop my images and place them in an online album, where they appear in the edited/croppped/copyrighted format. I now want to place such an album on my WordPress.com blog, so that these images appear cropped/edicted/copyrighted as they do in my online and desktop picasa albums. How? My blog is hosted by wordpress.com, so I cannot add any plug-inns. Thank you very much for any advise.

    Hello there,
I believe the only means of solving your problem have been posted above in this thread. That is to say you can embed your picassa album as a slideshow using the vodpod video widget.
