Hi, I would like to empty ALL site content, including any posts, comments, links, or media contents. Please help!
I would like to keep this block URL and repurpose it to something else. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is miradamango.wordpress.com.
Use the bulk editor to delete posts, pages, and media items.
There are 500+ of them… I want them ALL gone… at once. Is there a quick way?
Yes. On the main posts page of your dashboard, you’ll see a drop-down that says “Bulk Actions.” Below that, you’ll see a checkbox that says “Sellect all” followed by all your posts, with all the boxes checked if you’ve checked the select all box. Given the number of posts you have however, I’m not sure if this will work all at once, but I do know that you will be deleting posts 30 at a time instead of 1 at a time.
If you have tons of content Staff can empty the whole blog for you but it is not likely to happen faster than if you do it yourself. Staff will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files and once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.
If you are sure you want Staff to proceed, then type modlook into the tags in the sidebar for Staff attention and post again to this thread to:
(1) confirm the URL of the blog you want them to empty;
(2) confirm that you know content deletion is irreversible.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content does not remove it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.
If you do not want to wait for Staff to work their way to this thread and queue up you blog for content deletion, you can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.
