    Hello.

I would like to empty all the content of the blog because I have made massive changes in all entries and I want to import them.
I exported with your tool all the content in a xml file and changed it in my computer.

    How I can upload it?

    Thanks.

If you don’t have a lot of content you don’t need to wait for Staff to do this. You can delete the content and retain the URL and start fresh.
bulk delete images & media http://en.support.wordpress.com/media/deleting-files/#bulk-deletion
    bulk delete posts > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit
    bulk delete pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/#bulk-edit
Here’s how to permanently delete Trash >

If you do have a lot of content then you can type modlook into the tags in the sidebar of this thread and wait for Staff to delete it for you. You must also post to this thread and acknowledge the fact the deletion of the content by Staff is irreversible and you do want them to do this.

    Hi.

Thanks, but I have to change about one hundred posts.

Bulk Delete noted above with 50 Posts on the show all posts page is only two cycles or 5 cycles if you are at the default of I think 20 posts showing –

    dashboard tools import

    #1068804

Ok, I did it. I moved all the entries to the paper bin and I tried to import the new xml file. It only got 12 entries.

I did the same operation with the original file created by wordpress (to try if I did a mistake editing it), and it only got 12 entries, too.

    What happens?

    Thank you.

I’ve emptied your blog of all content – could you please try importing again?

    #1068921

Ok, the entries are imported, but all the multimedia content is erased, and I don’t have a backup.

Can you restore only the multimedia content?

    Thanks.

If not, can you restore the blog with your last backup?

    Thanks a lot

Ah, when a blog is being emptied, this includes all content (text and any media), and this action is not reversible. My bad, I should have reconfirmed with you once again that you had an export backup of all of your content, including images and other attachments, before emptying your blog.

Now, I do have a way to undelete your 50 image files, but you might need to re-check the links to make sure they are displayed properly in your posts. Would you like me to do that?

Update: I see that you have several hundred image files, do you need them all restored?

    #1068933

    Hi again.

Sorry, when I told you to empty the blog I only meant entries, not images.

Yes, I need all the images again. If is more easy to you, you can restore all the blog to an state before this last massive changes. I only did small visual modifications that are not relevant.

Thank you very much and sorry.

Definitely leave it as it was before, do not complicate with updates.
Delete and restore (if you can).

    Sorry for the inconveniences.

    Thank you.

Please note that emptying a blog is not reversible once you’ve confirmed you want to empty your blog of all content. I’ve followed up with you via email with some additional information.
