Emptying my site
I would like to empty my blog of it’s content and was told to contact Support? It is for the Magpeye.wordpress.com blog. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is magpeye.wordpress.com.
If you don’t have a lot of content and don’t wish to wait for Staff to delete it for you then you can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.
bulk delete images & media http://en.support.wordpress.com/media/deleting-files/#bulk-deletion
bulk delete posts > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit
bulk delete pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/#bulk-edit
Here’s how to permanently delete Trash >
Alternatively, if you do have a lot of content, and you do not mind waiting you can tag this thread with modlook in the sidebar and Staff can empty the whole blog for you. That will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files and once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.
If you are sure you want Staff to proceed, then please (1) reply to confirm the URL of the blog you want them to empty and (2) acknowledge that you know deletion is irreversible.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content does not remove it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.
I am the owner of magpeye.wordpress.com and would like all content deleted as I have duplicated it, and merged it into another blog. I understand that this process cannot be undone and am ok for WordPress staff to go ahead and do this. I must say again that this is only for Magpeye.wordpress.com and not for my other blogs. Thanks
I have emptied the blog as requested.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
