Enabling WordAds on My Custom WP Domain

I am trying to request WordAds for my custom domain but it is not showing up in my current profile on WordPress.com. The domain is hosted at GoDaddy.com and is using the WordPress.org code. How do I connect my domain to WordPress.com so that I can enable WordAds? Thank you.

The blog I need help with is stevenramirez.com.

You can’t. WordPress.COM blogs only are eligible for WordAds. I don’t know why you would be interested at all, as the bloggers split revenue with WordPress.com 50/50. You have an independently-hosted blog and can put ads on it and keep ALL the revenue.

I’ve just started by blog, kosherfamilycooking.com
I am interested in applying for WordAds, but the notice keeps saying :
    Your publicly visible blog(s)
We were unable to determine which public blogs you own. If you would like to create a new blog, please Sign up for one

This is the blog that’s linked to your username.

    aventuraatriumforsale.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this blog.

You can change that link and link your username to kosherfamilycooking.com. It’s very easy to do. Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

@raincoaster Thanks so much for the reply. Totally makes sense. Cheers.

Thanks timethief. I have changed as you suggested, but it still appears that
Primary Blog is listing kosherfamilycooking.wordpress.com instead of kosherfamilycooking.com (the one I paid for..)

Not to worry about that .wordpress.com URL. Your blog is being domain mapped from that .wordpress.com URL to the domain you purchased. What you see on the Admin side of the blog is the .wordpress.com URL and that’s normal.

    I’m still getting the message
    Your publicly visible blog(s)
We were unable to determine which public blogs you own. If you would like to create a new blog, please Sign up for one

I’ve flagged this thread for Staff attention. Not to worry as they help you sort this.

We’re looking into this, sorry for the trouble!

Kosherfamilycooking you need to use the login of the site owner. Is it possible that you have another user name?

I have logged in with my admin login and password. I still get the same message. Hope someone can figure this out?

Kosherfamilycooking, I had the same problem when I tried to apply for WordAds. Staff told me that my blog was set up/registered under an old email address that I have, but rarely use any more. Which turned out to be true — I had used that email when I set up the blog. Once I logged in with that email, I was able to complete the application.

I registered a domain name with godaddy and am using a wordpress.com blog.
Can I use wordads on my wordpress.com blog without paying 13.00 a year to map my domain, as I already told godaddy to map my domain name to me wordpress.com blog.
    Please let me know.
