Enbedding Slideshows

  1. Hi

Ok, hoping this will work, as many may already know (Or indeed may not!) I have been trying to insert a slideshow into my word press blog, its from Photobucket, so having to try all ways.

Now, I have noticed you can embed my question is, I have seen the topic, embedding somewhere, but incase I do not stumble across it again, can someone point me in the right direction AND tell me in advance do you think it would work.....?

The blog I need help with is

  2. I'm not aware of a way to embed a Photobucket slideshow, but it's entirely probably that I'm wrong, what's the code you're being asked to insert?

  3. Well when I saw the embedding for the photoslide, and know that you can enbed things here....I just

This is the code for the slideshow (At least I hope it is hahahaha|!

    <div style="width:480px;text-align:right;"><embed width="480" height="360" src="" flashvars="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" /><img src="" style="border:none;" /><img src="" style="border:none;" /></div>

So my thinking is, if I embed it into the embedding thing, it will work.....????

  4. Well I've tried your code but it's not working for me. Ofc, I'm not an expert so it'll be wise to wait for some of the better bloggers out there to try it for you :)

  5. That code won't work on We are not able to use flash. provides some "shortcodes" which allow us to use applications/code we would not normally be able to use.

  6. The slideshows we are able to use are listed here:

    (no photo-bucket)

  7. The new slideshow feature, for, is based on the gallery.
This feature is another shortcode. We are not able to modify any of the wordprss shortcodes.

To use it, your photos <stront>must be uploaded directly to your blog.

You can not use links to photos on Flikr or PhotoBucket.

  8. typo.
To use it, your photos must be uploaded directly to your blog.

You can not use links to photos on Flikr or PhotoBucket.

  9. That link can't be embedded. You can put a link to your slide show into a post, page, or text widget:

    <a href="" target="_blank">LINK_TO_SLIDESHOW</a>

Or upload your pictures to your blog. Then use the new slideshow shortcode.
Or choose one of these places to upload your images there. WordPress allows only these slideshows:

PhotoBucket slideshows can not be embedded here.

  10. Hi Tess, ok thanks, I have done a substitute, which I am not really happy with, but it will do for now :)

I dont think the candle will show up as 'flickering' which is what I was wanting :(

Is there such a thing as putting 'please click HERE (WIth the here highlighted when you hover over it) and when you click on it, it takes you immediately to the PB slideshow? I think that way is so cool too :D
