Error: my domain cannot be found

  1. Hello, i mapped my blog to my domain. Before it was and I mapped it to but when I search in google for either I cannot find them. Even if I go directly to both addresses, it gives me error. It seems that they don't exist. What is happening? Thanks!

  2. The domain mapping is in place and already redirecting properly for me in Canada. It can take from 24 - 72 hours for the domain name propagation to take complete throughout the internet. Everything is as it should be so all you need is patience.

  6. Hi @napbaby, I temporarily reset your primary domain name back to so that your site is up. For a subdomain mapping to work, you need to add a CNAME record through the registrar where you purchased your domain or through your DNS provider. Please see here for more information:

    Could you please make sure you have a CNAME record in place, then update the primary domain to again and let me know if it works?

  7. Hi Jenia, yesterday the site came back up and was working fine until you reset it. We had the CNAME added and in place.

    I already did the mapping again. My question is: how come it worked from wednesday until saturday, went down on sunday, and came back up on Monday? Will this be happening always?

    I imagine is going to take some time to get back up but I don't want this to be a constant problem. Do you have a solution for this or should I stop using the mapping and ask for a refund for the domain mapping?

    Your domain mapping seems to be working just fine at the moment, and I am not able to reproduce the issue that you had. I am sorry resetting the primary domain was not helpful.

    Did you update the CNAME record after reporting this issue, by any chance?

    Once a CNAME record is set correctly and domain mapping active, it works fine. If you cancel and refund the domain mapping upgrade (you can do it under Store > My Upgrades within 30 days of purchase, if you wish), your subdomain will no longer be mapped to your blog.

    Please let me know if you run into this issue again and I'll be happy to do a further investigation.
