Error Saving Media Attachment
-
Hi there,
I’m unable to upload images to the media library. I’m getting an error message “error saving media attachment”. I know the image type and size are not the issue because I’ve tried several of them and nothing is working and I’ve been using the same file types and similar sizes over the past 5 months and it has always worked.
Could someone please tell me what the issue might be and how I can go about fixing it so that I can resume uploading.
Thank you!

Are you creating your post here https://wordpress.com/post/ ?
If so then try creating it at > Dashboard > Posts > Add New
http://harmonyalacarte.com/wp-admin/post-new.php instead and see if you have the same issue. -
Hi Timethief, thanks for the response.
I am creating it in the dashboard as I always do. But it’s not the post that’s the problem, it’s the media library. I can’t upload to it. I’m going to Dashboard > Media > Add New > Browse > Upload…as I always have. It has always worked but now it’s giving the error message.

1. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ which are the ones WordPress.com supports please try upgrading or switching first.

Hi Nissrine,
Can you please let us know what browser (including the version number) you’re using? If you’re not sure, you can check here: http://supportdetails.com/
We’ve had some reports of issues using Internet Explorer version 9. If you’re using that browser, please take a look at this forum thread for more details:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/image-upload-issues-1?replies=1
If you’re using a different browser, please start by making sure you’re using the latest version of the browser: http://browsehappy.com/
You can also go through the troubleshooting steps timethief mentioned, which will help rule out other issues that might be interfering with the upload process. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Hi. I am at my wits end and would be so very, very appreciative if someone could please help me.
I am unable to upload video. I am late releasing a class because I have been trying to troubleshoot this since last night. This is not great for business. :)
I am copying and pasting the above so that I can answer as fully as possible any questions I might need to answer.

I have a screen shot if you need it, but right now after about 15-20 minutes I’m receiving a “HTTP Error” in red.

Jordan is working on this as of about 8 hours ago today, 8/26. However, I just uploaded a 10 minute video and it worked.
So then I tried to upload one of the longer vids and it just got hung up and after about 10 minutes an error appeared saying I lost connection.
My Internet connection is not hiccupping at all. We have a really strong, stable connection so I’m not sure what is happening.
I have no way of updating Jordan on this though.
