ethical question

    Hi

As a newbie I am unclear on a lot of blogging etiquette so I want to pose a question. I was looking at my stats and noticed a website listed as a referrer that piqued my curiosity. I discovered they re-posted my post on their webpage under “comments” in one of their categories.

The post was not really intended to raise awareness to the cause they are promoting but since it’s a good cause it didn’t bother me but the fact that they did so without asking kind of irritated me.

Is that uncool or do people blatantly re-post someone else’s work at their own leisure for their own purposes and should I say anything?

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is experimentalexpats.com.

Reblogging is commonplace, and as you can read for yourself in the WordPress Reblogs support page, hardly discouraged. WordPress apparently intends reblogging of a post to be a click or two away. Reblog buttons appear under the excerpts of posts in your Blogs I Follow section of the Reader. On the other hand, I didn’t find the reblog button described below (from the “Reblogs” support page):

You can also use the Reblog button in the toolbar that appears at the top of the screen when you’re logged into WordPress.com.
Note: You’ll only see the Like and Reblog buttons when you’re looking at individual posts. Reblog is only available on WordPress.com posts.

Evidently uncool has become cool right before our eyes.
