Thank you, Sophie The blog I need help with is moncherwatson.wordpress.com. October 18, 2011 at 12:34 am #731114 airodysseyMember Hi Sophie. Doing an Export does not delete your data. It just creates an XML file with the contents of your blog. (By the way, it does not include images). October 18, 2011 at 12:35 am #731115 airodysseyMember Sorry, ardpete… Now it’s my turn to double post ;-) October 18, 2011 at 12:39 am #731118 ardpeteMember Haha no worries :) October 18, 2011 at 12:44 am #731119 timethiefMember @moncherwatson When the export file is imported into either another WordPress.com blog or into a WordPress.org install you will be asked if you wish to have the attachments (images) included. October 18, 2011 at 8:14 am #731238 ecmtMember The Export function should include the text of my blogs: <!– It contains information about your blog’s posts, comments, and categories. –> Unfortunatelly, the blog’s posts are not included in the XML file. I red an error message with regard to the backup function. Q: Is the softare for Export not function properly too? Author Posts The topic ‘Exporting blog data’ is closed to new replies.
