I’ve the same question. Facebook follwers count for blog shows 81,000. Is this for real? Would be great if this is accurate :)

    Please help me understand this…

    Thanks,
    Samuel.

I have a feeling that it’s just the number of facebook friends you have. Since they get notified every time you post if you’ve linked your account to your blog.

my numbers also agree to that..but it’s really unuseful if you find a way to remove it please tell

Yeah, I must admit I don’t think much of this new way to calculate followers. I prefer to leave it at just actual subscribers to the blog if possible.

I don’t see any facebook followers. I do post links to my posts on my facebook wall and facebook fanpage.

I see followers (total), blog followers and comment followers …

I just saw your screenshot on the other response you, samuelvanga, linked – I definitely don’t have that – was the feature turned off again? or do I need to change settings to see that?

Mine says I have 329,250 facebook followers. I only have 116 facebook friends so I am clueless as to how this has happened. How does this happen?

I cleared my browser cache and still the followers didn’t change. I don’t think this is accurate….maybe just an ego boost. :) I will just not take it too seriously.
