Facebook Like box problem: Could not retrieve id for the specified page. Please
The Facebook link works (when you click on it), but a box appears underneath saying:
Could not retrieve id for the specified page. Please verify correct href was passed in.
How do I resolve this? Thanks.

The FB box is being worked on by staff right now, so I’d wait till Monday and see if it’s not fixed by then.
@blogwigs: Are you entering the address of a Facebook Fan Page or a Personal Profile? Remember that the Facebook Like Box Widget only works with Fan Pages.
If you are not sure, please copy and paste that address here so we may have a look.
I’ve waited until Monday and still nothing. The badge code from FB will work and the WordPress Like widget will work, but only in Internet Explorer. Neither will work in Firefox. The badge code and the WordPress Like widget will both work in Chrome. I don;t know about safari.
I can’t control what browser people use to view my site, and its very important to me that it looks the way I want it to look and that it includes a way for people to Like me on FB. Any news on when/how this will be corrected?

I am using Firefox 8 and viewing your Facebook Like box widget. The appearance is normal so I assume you have resolved this issue, despite the fact I cannot also see a Facebook badge that you referred to above on your blog.

The Like button is a way for people to show their appreciation for posts they like. Posts and pages are different. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/#troubleshooting

If you wish to receive help on this peer support forum then we require an active link starting with http:// to the free hosted WordPress.com blog that you are having an issue with. As your WordPress.com username linked to a LinkedIn profile rather than your WordPress.com blog please change that link so your blog can be loacted. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary WordPress.com blog and then save changes.
