Facebook Link

  1. My link to Facebook seems to have stopped working back in May (just noticing this now). It lists facebook under the publicize section of each new post but it doesn't get there. The blog is . Can you check it out for me? I tried re-linking it and still nothing showed up. Thanks

The blog I need help with is

  2. 1. Try flushing your FB cache but disconnect from FB first

    2. (a) Try the full reconnect procedure again detailed at including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step.

    3. See also publicize troubleshooting

Note: RSS Grafitti can be used for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer. RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify. You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

Please note that reconnecting Publicize with Facebook and/or with Twitter does not re-publicize missed posts, but it will work for future posts.

  3. Thanks TT. One of my FB followers tells me that she DID receive my post but I don't see it in my FB. Should I still follow your suggestions? Thanks

  4. I noticed the same issue today as well. I posted on my blog, but the blog has not appeared on my facebook business page. I double checked the connection in WP. It's been about five hours. Is there a time that I need to wait? Is it not supposed to be instantaneous?

  5. @trschell
If you feel assured then don't go through the routine I posted but if you are not convinced use it and bookmark it because this frequently happens.

It ought to be instantaneous but Facebook frequently makes small changes and this can be the result when they do.

  6. Think I know what the problem is. In the troubleshooting article it talks about having admin & profile in FB. I think that was a recent change on their end and I probably never did anything with it. I don't have a desktop computer, just a laptop so I have no access to it :-(. Have posted a question to see if there's a way around it. Do you have any ideas? Does my hypothesis make sense?

  7. TT, I went thru relinking and made sure I have a profile account with admin priveleges. I'd like to test the link but saw in the notes that you must publish a new post first. Is there any way to get my missing posts on my FB account?

  8. I had an additional question to this. I have a facebook link on the bottom right hand corner of my blog, and it leads to my old facebook page which no longer exists. Is there any way to update it so I can add the new link? I've searched all over for an answer to this.

  9. Hi Timethief. Just did my first post after implementing your suggestions and my post came thru with flying colors. Thanks for your help.
