Fatal Error – connected with updating plugins
I need some help. I went to update the plugins and when I tried to go back to my website I received the following message:
Fatal error: Can’t use method return value in write context in /homepages/10/d358770468/htdocs/vbweb/wp-content/plugins/somewhere-search-box/somewhere-search-box.php on line 233
and I now cannot access my website at all… it’s as if it doesn’t exist. Can anyone help?
vivianbroughton.com is a WordPress.ORG software install on paid hosting, hosted by 1&1
This is WordPress.COM support and that site is not on our servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum. For hosting issues contact your web host. For software support read on.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The wordpress.ORG support forum is at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

thank you… and for your prompt reply. I didn’t realise the difference.
You’re welcome and best wishes with your site. :)
We added a map plugin today and landed in fatal error land: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare google_maps_redirect() (previously declared in /home/wp_ebyuu8/caffeladro.dream.press/wp-content/plugins/google-maps-bank-business-edition/google-maps-bank-business-edition.php:1384) in /home/wp_ebyuu8/caffeladro.dream.press/wp-content/plugins/google-maps-bank/google-maps-bank.php on line 1004
Now we are unable to login, the error is all we see.
