Featured image displaying in place of header image. ???

I only noticed this happening yesterday. Every post that has a featured image displays the featured image as a header. Also, by trying to keep the image in proportion, it ends up being huge and quite unattractive.
    Have a look: http://thesleepymoose.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/namaste-english/

    Thank you

The blog I need help with is thesleepymoose.wordpress.com.

If you set images as featured images that are too small they will be blown up and distorted. If you upload featured images of the specified size (1000 x 288 px) for headers and set them as featured images the issue is solved. http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/

Thank you timethief. What I would like, though, is for my normal header to display always. I use featured images of certain dimensions for displaying on facebook etc.

I’ve never seen the featured image take the place of the header until now.

I thought it may have been a bug, but it’s still there.

    Any ideas?

Change themes. Staff are clearly tinkering with themes this weekend.

I was thinking the same thing myself raincoaster. I have resorted to just removing the header image and replacing it with header text until things get sorted out.

Thank you both for your assistance.
