Finding e-mail

  1. Hi. I had a blog about 4 years ago that I wish to resume using. However, I forgot the e-mail I used to sign up! I have the username ID, but it says it's invalid. I haven't touched the blog in 4 years. Does this make it inactive? Any way I can find out what e-mail I used so I can reset my password?

  2. It seems that you may be trying to fool us here into giving out someone else's blog info

  3. No, it totally sounds like that I know /: but we found the actual site that our blog is on, and the first part of the website address is the username. So we tried using it but it said it was invalid.

  4. We're pretty much stuck until the original blogger e-mails us back, but she may not even remember because it's been so long.

  5. You'll have to wait for the admin to contact you as i already explained. WordPress will not give you the information no matter how sneaky you try to be.

  6. In order to help you get access to your blog Staff need one of the following things in order to correctly identify you as the blog owner:

    1. an email sent from the email address associated with the account or revealing what that associated email address was
    2. the API key for your account. This was included in your welcome email with a note to keep it safe. Please do not post the API key here.
    3. if you have purchased any upgrades for the blog a transaction number

You will need Staff help and I have flagged this thread for their attention.

    related thread?

  7. @timethief he's already said it's NOT his blog!!

  8. We aren't trying to be sneaky, otherwise I wouldn't have posted in a public forum....yea.... This whole thing started because WordPress doesn't offer phone customer service because they want money. It's not that big of a deal. We can start over with a new blog, but we were just hoping to use the old one because of all the info already on it and that the cool theme used has been updated and is no longer available.

  9. @1tib in your first thread you said it wasn't your blog and you wre emailing the admin of the blog. Then you started another thread saying it is your blog and you forgot the email. That's what i call sneaky!!

Oops! Understood but no one gets by Staff. :)

  11. Ahhh sorry for the confusion! Like I said, the original admin was a former co-worker, but we used to update it together. Sorry, I didn't mention that part. I'm dumb. The issue is all the login info was created by that co-worker who left years ago. It's not written down anywhere and I just can't remember it.

  12. Staff will sort it...or not, depending on what info you can give. Wait for staff to repy now, and try not to start another thread though LOL :)

  13. haha ok yea no more threads! Sorry again for looking sneaky! We're just going to have to make a new blog I think. No problem (:

  14. Just wait for staff, who knows, it may be your lucky day.

  15. Hopefully. Luck isn't one thing I usually have. As a side question for my own curiosity, would not updating for awhile inactivate the blog? I'm thinking we might have to make a new one just because it's been years.

  16. There is no expiration date on blogs unused or otherwise. Username accounts are not deleted at

  17. Ok awesome (: thank you

  18. What is the URL of the blog you're referring to?
