First page customization
My blog (I just started it) address is: fabiomolinar.wordpress.com
And the theme I’m currently using is: Confit (theme.wordpress.com/themes/confit/)
My only doubt is:
“Is it possible to do something (for example, change the blog CSS) in such a way that my blog first page will be an “invisible” page? I would like that, when somebody enters my website, they would see just the background image with the menu bar to the left. Then, when they click on the menu bar options, then a page would appear.”
Is it possible?
P.S.: I’m new to this whole thing of blog making, so I already would like to say “sorry” if I’m posting this thread on the wrong place or if this sounds as a dumb question.
The blog I need help with is fabiomolinar.wordpress.com.
It’s possible, but only if you have the Custom Design upgrade.
As I’m only starting to work on it, I’ve decided to first play around with it in my own computer emulating a server (using XAMPP). So, here on my computer I do have the option to see and change the .css file.
Is it possible for me to get some help still? I’m really new (and newbie) at it, so I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if I’m breaching any license or something like that (yes, like almost everybody else, I’m the kind of guy that usually doesn’t read the small lines =/). If I’m, please let me know and I’ll get the Custom Design upgrade. Otherwise I would like to continue like that and keep training on my own offline blog before I go online.
If I understand correctly, the online version will be a self-hosted site, not a wordpress.com site. If so, you’re in the wrong forum!
This is correct Justpi!!
I’m sorry I’m on the wrong place. As a final question, would you recommend any other forum where I could find some help?
