Flickr photo embedding for sharp image

Hello Fellow WordPressers.

I am having a small problem with embedding photos onto the blog that are sharp. The photos show up just fine and when you click on the photo it becomes hi res. However when viewing the blog without clicking on image the pictures seem low res and compressed. I am using the Ryu theme and it’s maximum resolution is 1272px but I’m embedding a 1020px image within specs but yet is it low resolution.

Any ideas guys?
