Followers dropped by the hundreds overnight?

  I lost several hundred email followers overnight (over 900 to almost 600). I assume this is incorrect as my content did not change and I only posted once.

  Did WordPress weed out some spam followers? Has this happened to anyone else?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Did you have any other social media connections set up using Publicize, under Settings > Sharing in your dashboard? For example, did you have a connection to Facebook or another social media service that you recently removed? That can affect the number of followers shown on your blog.
