Followers No Longer Receive Emails
Anyone that can help me trouble shoot this one would be greatly appreciated.
I have been writing my blog for a little over three months and “follow” it by email myself. In the last week or so, I’ve stopped getting emails with my posts and one of my followers told me she isn’t getting them either (I assume this means no one is getting them).
The only thing I can think of that may have caused it was a change in theme, but that doesn’t seem likely. I haven’t changed any other settings.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the report. None of your blog subscriptions is currently set to send out email updates – only to display updates via the Reader – so I’m going to investigate from our end to see if something changed on your account. Could you please let me know the email of the other person who stopped receiving email updates?
Also – do you still get email updates for any of the other blogs you subscribe to?
I’m going to send you an email so we can sort this out privately.

There are 2 subscribers that I know aren’t getting email updates: (email redacted) and (email redacted) (<she’s a new subscriber). However I do know that (email redacted) IS receiving updates.
I just realized that you are correct and I have myself marked down to never receive updates from my own blog. That’s probably why I haven’t been getting them, DUH.
As far as my other subscriptions, I have it set so that I don’t receive email updates from any other blogs so I don’t know about those.

The user whose email starts with mgfarrar5 has actually blocked WordPress.com from sending them any emails, which is why they haven’t received any from your site. To change that setting, they can go to their dashboard here while logged in and uncheck the box next to “Block emails”:
The user whose email starts with tarat1222 never confirmed their subscription – it’s still pending – so they wouldn’t have received any of your emails, either. They should look for the email they received around the time they signed up and click the confirmation link in it to activate their subscription. They might want to check their spam folder in case it ended up there.

Thanks Kathryn. Everything worked except for with mgfarrar. He doesn’t have a wordpress account so we clicked the link in the last email update he received from wordpress. There wasn’t anything there that said he was Blocking emails. We unsubscribed him then resubscribed and still nothing. Very odd.
