Trying to remove the format on base of home page and replace with 3 or 4 most recent posts as three images across page and writing below each image. I have followed the directions by going to Appearance>theme options and clicking the box for “show four of your latest posts . . .” and I have no results so I am stuck. I saved. I exited and signed back in. I have tried working in the widgets area because it seems that its widgets that need to be removed.
Does anyone know what I can do to get this to work? I’m trying to get the page to look like the “Forever” theme that is displayed.
Thank you for any help you can give!
The blog I need help with is jacqueandmarsha.wordpress.com.
To show only your four latest posts (with a Featured Image above each one, of course) in a neat grid on your home page just visit Appearance → Theme Options and click the checkbox there. The four latest posts are you four most recently published posts so they will change when you publish new posts.
Also go here > Settings > Reading and confirm that the number of posts you have set to display on your front page is a high enough number to account for the items the 4 column display.
Thank you so much for your reply. I have done those things and I still have no results. I went through and made sure I have photos on each post and I made a featured photo on each post, I aslo made them sticky. This increased the number of photos showing on my slide bar but not the four lates posts showing.
Any other ideas?
