I am trying to find a nice layout for my CV on the pages CV in English and CV in French. Let’s be honest – a designer I am not.

What is the best way for me to advance? To open the word file save in *.html and then copy and paste? My sidebars also gives me problems as they tend to take over the text.

And finally I have my CV in visual format and I would like to link to this and to my LinkedIn page. How do I do?

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is goldkom.wordpress.com.

Are you copying and pasting without using icon 5 o 6 in Row 2 of the Visual editor?

Please enable this setting > Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”

If you are copying and pasting from anywhere else please see here so you know how to do this correctly in the future. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text

To get single spacing hold the SHIFT key down when you click ENTER at the end of the paragraph.

You could also upload your CV as is or convert it into a PDF document and offer it to your visitors for download. Not only you would preserve the formatting, but it would also make it easier for anyone to print it.

Do both – visitors can read what ever a CV is then the PDF is better for printing and can be passed around easier (as can a printed piece of paper)

Do be a bit careful about personal information (address etc) in what ever is posted online.
