From 2 to 1 Column for all?

  1. How can I change from 2 columns to 1 only for all pages/posts on my site? I mean, like no widgets at the sidebar at all. I had searched everywhere for options like this for an hour, still couldn't find it, can someone help me? Would be glad to know because I am in need of help quick for the change. Thanks.

That's possible in some themes only - see here:

  3. Any other ways? Because if it does, it would be very great. Thanks.

  4. You can simply empty out your sidebar by putting one widget in and then taking it out.

You can choose a theme that doesn't display sidebars on posts and pages, only on the main blog page.

  5. I had thought of that, but when I had emptied all of those widgets, an automatic blogroll appears. So, I have no idea how to get rid of that blogrolls (with archives and links for wordpress...etc.). I really got settled with this theme and doesn't want to change something new, will there be any options other than changing themes? If so, that would be very great.

  6. btw, There are very very little themes that comes with only 1 column.

    "Any other ways?"
You can remove the sidebar if you have the paid Custom Design upgrade.

  8. Any 1 column themes? Most of them are 2 columns with fixed widths. Very hard to find, though. Any help is appreciated.

  9. Thank you. I have a question, as I see there are themes that comes out from the search result 1 column, there's still 2 columns themes, therefore, does that mean if the widgets are all cleaned out, it will not show its blogrolls and it will turn to 1 column only?

  10. Not necessarily, no. Some themes allow you to switch to 1, 2 or 3 columns via Appearance > Theme Options.

  11. So what kind of themes that let you to switch freely from Theme Option? If so, that would be very nice.

  12. I was answering your question regarding the link I gave you. Those are the themes that are available in a 1-column version.

  13. That means they are all able to switch columns freely? If so, thank you. I will have another look.

  14. As I had a look on those 1 column themes, for example if I choose Nuntius theme, if I leave the widgets bar clean, would the post be stretched out back to 1 column? Because my main purpose not only not to see the widget column, but also to see the site in 1 wide column view for readers.

How about studying the post I linked to?
It lists the themes that support footer and/or header widgets only (no sidebar), it lists the themes in which the sidebar is optional, and it links to lists of themes in which static pages don't display the sidebar (optionally or not).
