Fruit Shake Theme - Footer?

  1. Hi,
Does anyone know how to add anything into this themes footer?
    I cant find it anywhere!

The blog I need help with is

  2. We cannot edit themes or templates on free hosted blogs at all. This is a multiuser blogging platform and all blogs wearing the same theme are using the same template. Only Staff can access those files and edit and every edit they make affects all blogs wearing the same theme. What do you want to add? If it's something like a copyright notice you can place that in a text widget and display it in your sidebar.

  3. That being said, I do not help with CSS and a Volunteer who does may have an inline CSS solution for you. Best wishes with your CSS editing. May I share this CSS tip with you? When you alter a theme’s stylesheet, you only need to put in the Editor the modification/additions to the CSS, not the entire thing. Read this for more info:

  4. About the only thing that can be done is to put the information into a text widget and then specifically target that text widget by ID and use CSS positioning to move it down into the footer area (styling it along the way as necessary).

  5. What were you trying to add to the footer?

  6. Thanks for all your replies!
I figured you wouldn't be able to edit it without access to the HTML and CSS.
I really wanted to add things like Ts+Cs, Privacy policy, copyright notice etc - If theres ever a future update to the theme it would be great to have a footer options area :)
I dont really want to upgrade to a blog at the moment so ill stick it out and use the pages option instead

There are many themes that do have footer widgets areas. See here > Sidebars and other widget areas: number and position

  8. As another possible option, what about putting information like that in a text widget near the bottom of the sidebar? That's where the normal credits appear in the Fruit Shake theme anyway.

  9. I have the fruit theme and I am trying to add analytics code. I did not see an editor to place the code in the footer

Is it possible to add the analytics code

We cannot use Google Analytics on free hosted blogs. This is confirmed in the support documentation entry on Stats.

  11. Thanks timethief. That what I was afraid of.

Hello again. Are you aware of the non-JavaScript visitor tracking that we can use on free hosted blogs? Scroll down to Visitor tracking on this page.
