With the WordPress app being nowhere near functional enough for what I do, I create a lot of my forthcoming blog posts as my title suggests, via Safari and on my iPad. It's a frustrating experience.
I should mention that it's perfectly fine when working the same way on my Mac at home, but that experience does not translate across to the mobile platform at all well.
The first problem I have had historically with this is the top black bar floating and covering up important buttons I need like Save Draft or Add Media. To get it to reset I have to usually open and close a dialogue box from one of the still free buttons. Doing that resets the bar, temporarily at least, to where it should be.
Usually I work with a wireless keyboard but when my batteries gave out today I was trying writing posts using the onscreen keyboard. Annoyingly when trying to go back to an already written sentence to insert punctuation or correct a spelling mistake, I am consistently unable to select the precise location I want. I select it as such, but it will then highlight a different place in the sentence, repeatedly, and often still after I have done a Save Draft to try and clear the problem.
In the end I had to give up and accept it is way too difficult to create posts on the iPad without any external accessories. Which is a bit disappointing considering the growing proliferation and importance of mobile devices.
