Full refund

  1. Hello,
I would like to delete my plan and domain and receive a full refund of the $60 I paid.
How do I go about that?
    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is christophertheed.com.

  2. Hi @cdtheed,

When did you purchase the plan? If it was purchased within 30 days, you can request a refund:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

One thing to note, your domain registration can only be refunded if it was registered within 48 hours. If you have used the domain credit in your plan to register the domain, the registration amount will be deducted from the refund amount.

  3. Hi,
I purchased everything yesterday (plan and domain).
Do I refund my plan first then refund my domain or am I able to do it all at once?
I believe I used used the domain credit in my plan, so would that still be refundable?

  4. Refunds and cancelling upgrades
There are no prorated refunds. Refunds https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/ are time limited.
    • WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund from date of purchase on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
    • The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
    • It takes from 1 - 2 weeks or 7 - 10 business days for the refund to be received after canceling an upgrade and requesting one.

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog's dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. Canceling and refunding purchases http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

    Canceling domains
It is important to know that cancelled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. Also note that here's no guarantee you'll be able to use a domain again as it may be sold to someone else. Therefore you should cancel a domain, if and only if, you are sure you do not wish to use it again.

If that does not resolve your issue. Provide the following first:

The URL of the domain in question.
The username account that registered the site in question and purchased any upgrades for it.
Whether or not you wish to use the domain on another site.

  5. Hi cdtheed,

Would you like to use the domain elsewhere or is it no longer needed? Once a domain has been cancelled there is no guarantee you will be able to get it back again. For this reason, we only recommend cancelling christophertheed.com if you are sure you won't need the domain again in the future.

If you don't plan to use the domain again and would like a refund, just let me know and I can sort that out for you.

    Thanks!
