As I uploaded photos they became fuzzy. A friend fixed the problem but I can’t get a hold of him to find out how, for when I add more. The photos are saved as JPEG; 300 resolution; image size is very small (like, 1×3 inches). My theme is Neat! by Topi Peltonen. The blog is not public yet on the web.
Any suggestions so this doesn’t keep happening?
The blog I need help with is dja70.wordpress.com.
For the best results optimize and resaize all images to exact dimensions prior to uploading them. These posts are helpful:
I read the links you provided–thanks. But what is considered a good size or exact dimensions? Didn’t find this in the posts or anywhere else.
The second post timethief linked to includes a link to this:

You beat me to it.
This support documentation entry states which themes have customizable headers and what the size for them must be prior to uploading them:
Thanks! You two are great.
But here’s another stupid question. To activate my blog so it is public online, do I do this through GoDaddy where I got my domain name or is this done in WordPress and how?
(1) Your only communication with go-daddy will be annual renewal of the domain name.
(2) You must change the visibility settings on your blog so search engine spiders can locate it and index the contents. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
(3) See this entry as well http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

You’re welcome and happy blogging. :)
Check it out. My blog is visible. URL is: inandaroundthegarden.net
I didn’t understand a lot of what I read and wasn’t sure which blog visibility to pick, and finally decided on “block search engines, but allow normal visitors.”
