    hello there,

i simply want to get rid of the “home” page that is seen in the main menu bar (and want to get rid of the bar itself, which i think will happen if “home” is erased.) i tried going to the menu section but there is no “home” page there.

    any advice is appreciated,

The blog I need help with is ritomaxtla.wordpress.com.

What exactly;y are you trying to do please? Nothing can appear in the menu bar if you do not create any pages or do not create a custom menu.

The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.

To do that create two pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

    Front page displays
    __ Your latest posts

    A static page (select below)

I said this awkwardly and wrongly above:

Nothing can appear in the menu bar if you do not create any pages or do not create a custom menu.

If you don’t like the “home” link being there so any visitor on any page on the blog can click it and return to the main page of the blog then you can create a custom menu and add no content at all to it.

There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and you can read about them here. > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/
