Hi, I hope I’m in the right forum here!
We are working on a music blog with a monthly listings guide section for a number of different bands and venues. At the moment, all the data is stored in a Microsoft Excel grid. Is there a good widget for displaying this sort of information in an easily accessible way or should I try another function of WordPress?
Without seeing the stuff, I cannot be completely specific, but you can use HTML tables either in widgets in the sidebar, or in the body of pages or posts. Depending on the number of columns and the widths of it, it might not be something that would fit in a sidebar. With pages and posts, there is also a limited width depending on the theme you are using. You can typically paste the table into a Word document and then export that document as an HTML file and then you can pull the table stuff out of that HTML document and put it into the HTML tab in the page or post editor. Basically you would look for the opening and closing table tags and then pull those and everything in between.
