GRISAILLE apperance problems
I use the grisaille theme and for some reason, only excepts of my posts show on the main page. I already specified I want full posts appearing on my blog in the settings, but it doesn’t work anyway. Any idea of how to fix this?
The blog I need help with is thegeekanthropologist.com.
Same issue with Fresh & Clean theme. I was also wondering if there is a way to show an excerpt WITH a photo… Thank you very much!
Blog URL: stellinasweets.com
Both themes are displaying exactly the way they are designed to behave, which is excerpts only on the front page of the blog but if it does have an active excerpt box below the post editor, you can control the length of the excerpt displayed. This is the workaround you can use to override excerpt display on the front page.
You compose your whole post first and before you publish it you switch to the HTML (Text) editor, copy the code, paste it into the Excerpt box, and publish the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts This will have to be done on every post.
P.S. if you had used the forum searchbox you would have found the answers yourself instead of waiting for me to search for you.
I have read a few forums on this. When you mention “copy the code”, what code are you refering to?
When creating a post or page on your WordPress.com blog, you have two editing modes available to you: Visual Editor and Text Editor (HTML).
You compose your whole post first in the Visual editor and before you publish it you switch to the HTML (Text) editor, copy all the code you find there, paste it into the Excerpt box, and publish the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts This will have to be done on every post.
Thank you! As soon as I hit submit for my question, it clicked that you mean the entire code ;) thanks
You’re welcome and best wishes with your blog.
