Hi there –
I have a self hosted wordpress site that was recently compromised. I can no longer access the account as the hacker – 1337mir has changed the dashboard login details – how I know it’s this guy who hacked it is because he has rudely linked himself as the hacker at the bottom of the site. It’s my account and I can prove it as I pay all the bills related to the account, but don’t know what to do from here. Please advise as to what you think I can do, thank you.
We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
