There are some discussions about it in the forum but none of them solves the problem. Do you have any suggestions to remove featured images from posts (I want to keep featured images on the homepage).

[hatch theme] removing featured image from the post
Are you referring to this? "duplicate image" > http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/same-image-appears-twice-in-the-same-post?replies=2#post-1140074
Yes I am, the links provided in that answer by wordpress/hatch do not help.
I want set a featured image for post, but NOT into the text area of my post.
If no image is attached, the theme displays a light gray placeholderIs there a way to remove this gray placeholder ?
Where is the URL for the exact blog in question. It is not this empty free hosted WordPress.COM blog http://muratmenevse.wordpress.com/
If you are not referring to a free hosted WordPress.COM blog then you are posting to the wrong support forum. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins and run different versions of themes with the same name. If you don't have a username account at WordPress.ORG click this link http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
Hello, did you solve your problem? I was able to remove the placeholder grey image by going into post.php and removing this bit of code below. (Do this modification ONLY using a child theme!)
<?php if ( current_theme_supports( 'get-the-image' ) ) get_the_image( array( 'meta_key' => 'Thumbnail', 'size' => 'single-thumbnail', 'link_to_post' => false, 'image_class' => 'featured', 'attachment' => false, 'width' => 640, 'height' => 360, 'default_image' => get_template_directory_uri() . '/images/single_image_placeholder.png' ) ); ?>
@soulofyourshoes: You're in the wrong forum. Your advice doesn't apply here.
