Header Disappears with Custom CSS

Our blog theme (K2-lite) utilizes a custom header, however–when I customize or make changes to the CSS, our custom header disappears.

I’m thinking we need to reference the custom header graphic in the CSS itself, but am not sure how to do this.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is uncrated.wordpress.com.

Thanks in advance for posting an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question as we Volunteers cannot see the URL you entered into the form when creating this thread.

When a theme has been CSS edited you can no longer use the custom image header uploader. You must place the image link in the CSS.

If you pasted the entire CSS stylesheet into the editor window, this is what will happen since all the URLs in the CSS are relative and since your CSS is saved in a different location than the original CSS, that means the links break to any images that are referenced in the CSS.

What you want to do is to put ONLY the specific selectors and only the specific declarations you are adding or changing into the CSS edit window and then your CSS is added to the original and overrides the existing declarations. See the following post by devblog.

Thank you all for your help! I was pasting the entire style sheet into the editor–and have now fixed the problem.
