Header image – Stay theme

I want to put a header image on my blog that stretches the whole length of the site. Every time I upload an image it’s only going half way across. Can anyone help? I’m not the most technical of people.

The blog I need help with is wherewordsfail.com.

Hi there. To create a full width header, you’ll need to upload an image that is at least 960 pixels wide.

I’ve noticed in Appearance > Header, that this is suggested as 300 pixels, which will lead to an image that is repeated. I’ve flagged this thread for a Staff member to see, so this can be corrected.

Hi, thanks for the reply, but I’m not sure how to make a picture 960 pixels wide. I’ve tried making the image larger, but that doesn’t seem to work.

You will either need to choose an image that is already larger than 960 pixels, or create one using graphics software. Resizing an image to be larger isn’t recommended, because it leads to pixelation and distortion of the image.

The header image for the Stay theme is meant to be used as a logo. If there is an image you would like to use, the suggested width is 300 pixels. Suggested height is 100 pixels.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
