Header Resize Issue
I am trying to use a Toastmasters header that works with Twenty Ten. The jpg dimensions are 1094 X 915px. However, since Twenty Ten has been retired I picked Twenty Sixteen to create the website…..and it requires a header size of 1200 × 280 pixels. No matter what I do I cant make it work. Not only does it crop incorrectly but it places the header under the site title, rather than above it. How do I get around this?
The blog I need help with is condellparktoastmasters.wordpress.com.
We have a theme customizer that allows us to preview themes so we can see what they are like prior to switching.
Every theme has a detailed theme description page. This one is at https://wordpress.com/theme/twentysixteen and that’s where set up instructions for it, and the live demo site link is found.
When you use an image that is not large enough the software stretches it and the result is not a good one. Therefore I suggest you create another image with the correct dimensions and up load it.
The recommended Featured Image size is 1200 wide.
The recommended Custom Header image size is 1200 wide and 280px height.
I used the customiser and resized the image as per the recommended size. It makes no difference. I have decided to switch themes and try again. This time I am using Gateway. I amended the orginal to the recommended size and uploaded it. What I find is the header looks fine when I upload it, however, when I look at the website it seems to crop the bottom. What do I do now? I have tried cropping just the top and both top and bottom but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
