I’ve just purchased the upgrade to customise CSS and am trying to get my head around a few features. I’ve understood how to edit quite a bit, but I was wondering if anyone knew any pre-made coding or similar for a feature post section like the one on this blog: http://kojikis.wordpress.com/. It’s a custom CSS from Twenty Eleven, too. If anyone could help, it’d be much appreciated.

My blog is hosted on wordpress.com, I just omitted to link because it’s obviously still in its construction stages, and there’s very little there.

See this post by Panos on duster/twenty eleven on using the showcase template and feature post section.

I have a… ‘follow up’ query. I’ve set up featured post section on Twenty Eleven with a placeholder for just now, I’ve noticed it’s sacrificed the ‘content on the left; sidebars on the right’ layout I had set before. Is there any way at all to keep the featured post section but still the old layout? As in… just have the featured post sitting beneath the main menu then the regular layout beneath it (I hope I’ve made sense here… it’s a little difficult to explain in words).

This is how things will be if you are using the “showcase” template as your main page.

This is how things will be if you are using just the standard template with “featured posts.”
