Help - I only want post excerpts to show

  1. Instead of having the full content of each post on my home page, how do I make just the excerpts show, with a link to the full text of the article?

  2. you can use the hemmingway theme. Or you can use the "read more" tag.

  3. What is the link to your blog?

    2. How to make your name link to your blog:
Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to 'contact info'. In the spot where it says 'website' fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.
Now... when you comment here and on other blogs, your name will link to your blog. If you do this before you post your request for help, it will allow forum volunteers to be able to help you quicker since they won't have to ask you for a link and wait until you come back to post one.

  4. Where would I find the Read More tag? I just looked under Posts>Tags and I don't see it.

  5. its on the panel next to the spellchecker button

  6. Hmmm - I don't see a spellchecker button,either. What am I doing wrong?

  7. Go to the post you want to make an excerpt, and go to the edit page and on there, you should see a spellchecker button and next to that on the left, theres a read more tag you can use. Place the tag anywhere in the text.

  8. I'm on the edit post page, and there's no spellchecker buttor or read more tag. Is an upgrade necessary to get this components?

  9. Hurray, I figured it out. On the edit post page, I needed to click on the Visual Editor button to get all the little icons.

  10. Your welcome, and I do the same thing on my blog with some of my posts :)
