Help with Pages

    Hello,

I have little to no coding skills and I am struggling with some thing on my site. On my menu; I would like a Home “Intro” Tab, Blog Tab, About Tab, and Contact Tab. Currently, all of my blog posts are on the Thoughts Tab and are allll listed there as one super long scroll. Is there a way to make it so that there are like 5 posts per page and have a page slider at the bottom? I have seen it on other blogs but have no idea how to do it.

Also, the Thoughts Tab is my Home page and I would like it to be its own page with a different page as the home landing site.

    I hope this makes sense.

    Thanks for the Help!
    J

The blog I need help with is justacuriousmermaid.wordpress.com.

Hi there, you can set the number of posts that will show on a page by going to My Sites > Settings > Writing and under content types set blog posts to 5 or whatever.

There is no way to move the slider to the bottom of the page.

You can create and set a static home page as explained in this support page and set Thoughts as your Blog (Posts) page.

    Hey,

I tried setting up my About page as my home page and all my blog posts are gone. Is there a way to restore my settings??

Hi @justacuriousmermaid, no worries. Your posts are all still there. Looks like you’ve got them back on the front page, too, if I’m seeing the same site.

Right now you have your blog posts on Home, and a static page for Thoughts, About, and Contact. Is that how you’d like it?

You can also set up your posts so they’ll appear in different categories if you’d like. Let us know. I noticed you’re using tags already (but too many per post — try to aim for no more than 15 tags+categories combined). If you want to use categories, you can set up category pages like so:
