Help with Portfolio in Minimum Theme

Hello, I found “answers” to my question in a previous post from Aug 2012, however the answers are not working for me. I added the category “portfolio” and then went back and added that category to previous posts. I selected the Genesis – Featured Posts Widget, configured the settings and placed it into the Portfolio category in the Widgets list. I also set my image as the featured image when I edited my previous post. But I still don’t see the portfolio. I did create a portfolio page, but I would like to use the widget.
    Thanks for your help.

The blog I need help with is

    Do these help?

Read-access to the premium themes forum is now open to all users so you can search there. The premium theme forums are at with separate sections for each theme.

Note we Volunteers answering support forum questions here do no have access to premium themes and cannot work with them in test blogs. If you are not successful when searching there is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.

Thank you. I am getting closer, but am still not there. I now have images, but then the text from the post is showing too. Not what I expected from the graphic that is used to “sell” the Minimum Theme. Yes, my premium account is active and yes I am signed in. It just seems like info is all over the place. I’ll either get it figured out or ask for a refund.

It’s the weekend and I suspect theme designers are with their families as opposed to answering Premium Theme support questions. Maybe posting there and waiting is the way to go.
