    Hello,

I would like to report that the Font and the Font Size used in the Visual Editor (http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/) for the Hemingway Rewritten theme (http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/hemingway-rewritten/) is too small in my opinion and not very readable and the Font does not match the Font or the Font Size used for/of the Hemingway Rewritten theme or the Font or the Font Size normally used around WordPress.

Usually the Font and Font Sizes match between the theme and the Visual Editor giving you a better example of how your Posts/Pages will look, and those that usually do not match usually use WordPress.com’s Default/Official Font (Opens Sans?) and Font Size I think or they should in my opinion.

I would like to suggest that this is fixed/changed so that both Fonts and Font Sizes match for the Hemingway Rewritten theme and the Visual Editor, or I would like to suggest that this is fixed/changed so that the Visual Editor uses the Default/Official Font and Font size of WordPress.com News/Et Cetera (http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/10/09/open-sans-how-do-we-love-thee-let-us-count-the-ways/) because it is a nice readable Font in a large enough Font Size that is used around WordPress, because either of these fixes/changes would be better than the current small/harder to read/non-matching font being used at this time in my opinion.

I know that most internet browsers have a zoom/increase font size/et cetera function, but I would like to see this fixed/changed so that this is not necessary because I do not have this problem when using most other themes and I would like to test out the Hemingway Rewritten theme some more; but this is annoying/bothering me, and it makes it harder for me to proofread/type/et cetera my Posts/Pages in the Visual Editor when the Font is small and not as readable.

    Thank you,
    -John Jr

The blog I need help with is johnjronline.wordpress.com.

Thanks for the report. I’ll ask our developers to have a look.

I could be wrong/imaging things, but I think that since the new Visual Editor Updates (http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2014/03/25/editor-playlists-improvements/) that the Visual Editor Font Size got even smaller than before when using the Hemingway Rewritten theme:

    https://mediacru.sh/uNOY-qRz4af3

I could be wrong, but I just wanted to report this just in case because I struggled even harder today when typing a post and I even missed a typo that I normally would not miss or make because of how small the font size is and how that font is less readable in my opinion; but I am guessing that things are still constantly changing/improving as they work hard implementing the new updates. ;)

    Thank you,
    -John Jr

    Hello Kathrynwp,

Have the developers decided if they are going to fix this bug or not?

I know that they are busy but I would like to at least know if they plan on fixing this bug or not.

Because I have not heard anything yet and tomorrow will make it exactly a month since I reported this bug, and this bug is making it very hard for me to make posts/pages because I can barely see the text and so I am making more mistakes than usual and I miss more of those mistakes; and it strains my eyes, and it takes longer for me to make posts/pages because I am straining to see what I am typing. :(

I like the Hemingway Rewritten theme but this bug and several other unfixed bugs are really bothering me, and I am not sure how much longer I can keep using this nice theme with these unfixed bugs.

    Thank you,
    -John Jr

Hi John, our developers handle bugs on a priority basis. Bugs affecting the most users generally get fixed first.

If you find the font in the visual editor too small, a simple workaround would be to use the zoom option in your browser while composing posts.

While I can’t give you an ETA on when a developer might get to your report, we will keep you posted here.

Zooming was not as helpful as I thought that it would be, I tried that before I first reported this bug, but thank you for responding because I just wanted to know if it had made the X-Files List or not.

I will probably try to find another theme without bugs that I like for now until this is hopefully fixed (several of my backup themes have unfixed bugs too, and so I have to find some new backup themes), which will not be very easy, but I will continue looking as I always do since I constantly check out new and old themes and widgets and features but all of these unfixed bugs are limiting my choices too much in all of those areas.

What is happening in the Widget section of the forums, my last two reports have not been responded to in a week, and someone removed the modlook tag several days ago on one of them but no one ever said anything and all the widget bugs that I have reported since the end of last year have not been fixed except for one that probably got indirectly fixed?

It looks like this thread is still modlooked, and is at the top of the modlook queue:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/top-clicks-widget-showing-too-many-urls

You can always see where a thread is in the queue by viewing all modlooked posts:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/modlook

This thread doesn’t have the modlook tag, but I just added it so staff will have a look:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/the-internet-defense-league-widget-lacks-a-title-option

There isn’t any “widget staff” but our forum squad will have a look.

You’re welcome, although I’m not sure I know what the “X-Files List” is. ;-)

Yeah, the first one was still had the modlook tag, but someone removed the modlook tag on the second one a few days ago for some unknown reason(s); and so thank you for adding it back.

Thank you for letting me know about the queue.

I thought so ;) , thank you for letting me know Kathrynwp. :)

The X-Files List is my special name for The Low Priority List, because most or all of the bugs that I have reported that have been put on The Low Priority List/The X-Files List seem to have been on the list indefinitely and have never been fixed yet probably (days, weeks, months, a year later), and so I imagine the Low Priority List as The X-Files (unfixed/unsolved bugs/cases) in the basement of WordPress/The FBI waiting for an agent/a developer to solve/fix the cases/bugs. :D ;)
