Hemmingway and IE

I am having problems with Hemmingway displaying properly in Internet Explorer (IE)… the right-hand 3rd column is wrapping to th bottom of the page. However, it does display properly in both Opera and Firefox. My screen resolution is set at 1024 x 768 which is optimum for the Tablet PC I use. It acts the same way when viewing on my larger desktop screen at 1152 x 864. Is there any chance this could be corrected in a future relrase or am I the only one having that problem? I really like Hemmingway and would love to use it. While I personally perfer Opera over IE and use it as my primary browser, I also recognize IE is the default standard for the vast majority of users and like to design my sites with that in mind.

    Works fine for me with IE 6.0.2900.2180.etc… at 1280 x 1024 and at 1024 x 768.

99% of the time the issue with the sidebar wrapping to the bottom is due to a left open tag within a blogger’s post. (Seems to happen a lot here :) ) Note sure if this maybe the case here with you, especially since Hemmingway only displays a portion of your two last posts and, I believe, strips out any tags anyway within them.

You may also want to, if you’re not doing it already, use the normal text editor for making your posts instead of the rich editor (TinyMCE) as it is known for incorrectly formatted HTML code.

    Good luck,

I am also using IE 6.0.2900.2180… on both of my computers. I have asked several friends to check it on their computers as well and, so far, they report that the 3rd column wraps when using IE. I used the default WP editor which I guess is the TinyMCE you mention. I will check the HTML to see if I can spot a problem but I still wonder why it seems to display properly for some using IE and not for others. Everyone I have had test it says it does display properly in both Opera and Firefox but not in IE.

Something I did this morning caused the Yahoo Tool Bar to show up again in my browser with my Yahoo messenger displayed as a sidebar. If the sidebar is on, my Blog shows with all 3 columes as it should. If I remove the Yahoo sidebar, the 3rd colume wraps again even though there is now a wider window to display in. Turn the Yahoo sidebar back on and the 3rd colume displays properly. Strangeā€¦
