    I have switched over to the Nishita theme. I want to hide the tags on every post, but still have them in the RSS feed. Can this be done, and if so, how do I achieve this? Thank you.

    The blog I need help with is blogbisogno.wordpress.com.

    Tags cannot be hidden on any theme here without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing. In some themes all meta data like date, author, etc. is in the same selector and hiding one means hiding all. I have flagged this thread so it will be moved to the CSS Forum where you can get specific help.

    Thanks timethief for the info and for flagging this thread to move it to the correct forum.

    Can you tell me if there is a way to remove the 5 star rating from each post? Does that also require the custom design upgrade and CSS editing?

    Thanks,

    Bisogno

    No. Rating have to be activated by us bloggers and you just need to disable them in your Dashboard http://en.support.wordpress.com/ratings/

    This will do it for you. What shows in the theme has no bearing on what shows in the RSS feed, so the tags will still show in the feed.

    .entry-tags {
    display: none;
    }

    Ok, I found ratings. I was looking under widgets. Thanks so much timethief.

    thesacredpath. I saw this somewhere else. My question is; Where does it go? I have no idea where to put it. Is this CSS? Will I need the custom design upgrade in order to do this?

    Thanks,
    Bisogno

    Yes, this is CSS and you would need the Custom Design upgrade in order to use it. Since this was posted in the CSS forum, I (wrongly) assumed you had the upgrade.

    Without the upgrade there is no hiding of the tags.

    If you want to try the above, go to appearance > custom design > CSS clear the informational text, paste in the code I gave and then click preview. You may have to force refresh the page in order to see the change. Some browser don’t always grab the change.
