I posted a new post last night and messed up and updated it. On my home page it shows the previous version of the post and the same photo shows up twice. Is there a way to fix this? It looks really bad! The post itself when you click on continue reading shows the revised version. Thanks to anyone who can help me fix this.

I’m sorry to make a guess here, because I can’t reproduce the same phenomenon in my test blog, but I can see that the small image on your main post page is a featured image. You might try removing the featured image for that post.

The second larger image is just the photo inserted as normal.

thanks so much, that must be the problem. I appreciate the prompt feedback, always appreciated. I wasn’t sure what the featured image was, now I know!!!!

You can remove any image by editing the posts and clicking the image and clicking the dlete icon. If you remove it from your Media Library the image will not be displayed. However, if you do no clear your browser cache and cookies theh you can be viewing a cached version. Please try logging out, clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050 and logging in again.

The second image is not there due to a browser cache issue. Perhaps deleting the image both as a featured image and from the library will work when it is again re-inserted to the library. Perhaps adding it again with a different name will work?

thanks you both for helping…I did the whole cookie thing (don’t like that because all the passwords disappear) and that made no difference. In the setting of that specific post in the right side menu in the Format Section I had clicked Image and that’s why I had these issues. I am just learning to use wordpress, this is only my second post. Thanks so much for your input, really appreciate it
